SENIOR (2018): Kinzner logged the third most minutes for the Buffs, recording 1,496 minutes in her 20 starts. She registered her lone assists on CU’s game-winning goal in overtime against Washington, helping CU to its 11th win of the season. Kinzner helped lead the Buffs to a school-record 16-game unbeaten streak, starting the season 13-0-3. She helped solidify a back line that played to eight shutouts. Kinzner attempted nine shots on the season, including six on goal. She ends her career tied for eighth in program history in starts (80) and tied for 10th in games played (82).

JUNIOR (2017): Kinzner was once again a major part of Colorado’s success, helping the Buffs reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament and break school records for shutouts (14) and goals-against average (0.61). She appeared in 20 matches and made 18 starts as an outside midfielder. She played 1,245 minutes during the season and attempted 18 shots, including five on goal. During her time on the pitch, CU had a 0.51 GAA and outscored opponents 27-7. Kinzner started the first 11 matches before suffering an injury late in a 2-0 win at Washington State on Sept. 28. She returned as a reserve for two matches before regaining her starting role in a 3-0 win over Arizona State on Oct. 19. She had a season-high three shot attempts twice, reaching that total in a 1-0 win over Colorado College on Aug. 20, and again in a 2-0 win at Oregon on Oct. 29. Kinzner earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention with a 3.37 GPA.
 
SOPHOMORE (2016): Kinzner was a key part of Colorado reaching the NCAA Tournament and finishing second in the Pac-12. She started all 22 matches at midfielder, scoring four goals and adding three assists for 11 points. She also attempted 26 shots, including 11 on goal and had two game-winning goals. She kicked the season off with the team’s first goal of the year at 44:57 in a 2-0 win over Air Force, the latest first-half goal in school history. Kinzner netted a game-tying goal at Missouri on Aug. 28. Her 12th-minute goal against Drexel on Sept. 4 put CU up 2-0 in a 5-0 win, and she scored her final goal of the year with the first score in a 3-0 victory against Oregon State on Oct. 9. She also had assists against Colorado State, Iowa and Washington State. Her assist against Washington State was key, leading to Taylor Kornieck’s game-winning goal in the 89th minute for a 1-0 victory. Kinzner also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention with her 3.47 cumulative GPA.
 
FRESHMAN (2015): Kinzner started all 20 matches as a center midfielder as a true freshman. She saw action in 1,503 minutes and scored a goal and had two assists, while attempting 16 shots (four on goal). She recorded her two assists in back-to-back games, both shutout victories. Her first came when she helped set up Joss Orejel for a score in a 4-0 win over New Mexico on Aug. 30. Her second assist led to a goal by fellow freshman Erin Greening in a 1-0 victory against Cincinnati on Sept. 4. Kinzner scored her first career goal on Oct. 30, the first goal in a 3-3 draw with No. 25 Arizona. Her shot came from 20 yards out and was sent into the upper-left corner of the net.
 
CANADA NATIONAL TEAMS: Kinzner started all five matches for Canada at the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championships in Honduras. She scored two goals and led the team to a runner-up finish, scoring in wins over Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. She also played the first 46 minutes of a 1-0 loss to the United States in the final.  She also competed with the U-23 team at the Pan American Games in 2015, appearing in four matches with two starts. Altogether in international play, she has played in 18 matches with 16 starts and has scored four goals with two assists.
 
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB:  Kinzner earned honors each of her four seasons at Bishop Grandin High School and was named the city female soccer player of the year as a senior.  As member of Foothills FC, she participated in Club Nationals in 2010 and 2012, where the team finished fifth and third respectively.  Kinzner’s experience with the ASA Provincial Team was annual starting at 13-years of age in 2009 and continued through 2013.  She was named to Team Alberta in her age group three years in a row (2011-2013).  Kinzner also participated in the under-17 CONCACAF in Jamaica for the Canadian National Team, earning a silver medal.  She also played on the U17 and U20 Canadian National Teams in the FIFA World Cup, reaching the Quarter Finals each time in 2014.
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Kinzner is majoring in business accounting and finance. She is also interested in math and science. She has earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention as a sophomore and junior with a 3.37 cumulative GPA.
 
PERSONAL: Sarah Kinzner of Calgary, Alberta was born on August 28, 1997 to Robert and Phyllis Kinzner. Her father, Robert is an auditor and her mother, Phyllis is an administrative assistant. Kinzner is the youngest of three. She has two sisters, Kelsey and Melissa. Kelsey is a senior on Mount Royal University‘s soccer team in Calgary and is a three-time Academic All-Canadian Award winner and Melissa is a sophomore in college. Kinzner will be joining her cousin, Tanner Jaillet, in the Centennial State as he is a freshman, goalie on Denver’s hockey team. Kinzner loves funny movies and would like to become an accountant when she graduates. She decided to attend CU because it’s a member of the Pac-12 Conference, its academics and coaching staff.
