Senior (1999): Wikstrom, 24, made two appearances and one start for the Buffs, recording one shot attempt in her start against Texas Tech on Oct. 22 (a 1-0 win). She joined the Colorado soccer team in the spring of 1999 following the collegiate ski season and was limited to one season of eligibility due to NCAA age restrictions.

At CU: She is a member of the University of Colorado ski team, which won the 1999 NCAA Championship, the 16th for the team. Wikstrom won the 1999 NCAA Women's Slalom National Championship, claiming that at NCAA's in addition to a third-place showing in the giant slalom. She earned first team All-America status for her efforts, and was named CU Athlete of the Week for the week of March 8. Has an extensive racing background with Europa Cup experience, and has been a strong racer in Sweden since 1990. In that year, she finished first in the slalom, super-G and downhill events at the Swedish Juvenile Championships. She was on the Swedish Junior National Team from 1993 to 1995. After that, she competed on the Swedish National B Team until this past year. With the national teams, she had numerous top-ten finishes at the Europa Cup, and was second in the Swedish Junior Championships. Her most recent Europa Cup finish was sixth in the slalom.

Personal: Wikstrom is majoring in engineering physics and also has an interest in mechanical / engineering. She was born June 6, 1975, in Racklofska, Sweden. Her lists soccer as her favorite hobby and she was the scoring champion in the Regional Series soccer tournament in Sweden in 1998.
