2017-18 (JUNIOR): Beck wrapped up her junior season 10-14 overall in singles and a team-best 16-8 in doubles. Her doubles winning percentage of .667 was tied for the 35th-best in a season in school history. She reached the Round of 64 at the ITA Mountain Region Championships in singles. At one point, she won five straight matches from Oct. 15 to Jan. 27. In Pac-12 play, Beck earned singles wins over Cal’s Jasie Dunk (5-7, 6-4, 6-4) and Utah’s Victoria Robertson (7-5, 6-4). Her win vs. Robertson on April 21 gave the Buffs a 4-3 victory, breaking a 3-3 tie in the team score. It was CU’s first win over Utah since joining the Pac-12. In doubles, she moved into the No. 1 position with Chloe Hule early in the season. The duo went 11-6 overall, 4-4 at No. 1 and 5-0 at No. 2. They won 10 straight matches from Jan. 15 to March 11, including Pac-12 wins over Mary Lewis and Marie Van Aelst from Arizona (6-4) and Nicole Fossa Huergo and Tereza Kolarova from No. 34 Arizona State (6-1). The streak of 10 wins was tied for the eighth-longest in CU history for a doubles pair. Beck and Hule then upset 65th-ranked Jena Cheng and Alexia Petrovic from Utah 6-0 on April 21, CU’s only win over a ranked doubles opponent during the season.
 
2016-17 (SOPHOMORE): Beck went 3-13 in singles and 8-11 in doubles play as a sophomore. In singles, she played primarily the No. 6 position, going 2-10 there. She earned her first career Pac-12 win over Ege Tomey 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 on March 24 vs. Washington State. She also defeated Cal’s Stephanie Lin 6-3, 6-4 on March 31. In doubles, she went 8-11 and posted a 4-4 mark at No. 3, playing primarily with Annabelle Andrinopoulos. Beck did not compete during the fall as she recovered from an offseason injury.
 
2015-16 (FRESHMAN): Beck completed her first collegiate season with a 1-9 singles record and 4-14 doubles mark between the fall and spring seasons. She earned her first career singles win 6-4, 6-2 against Colorado State’s Celine Voss at the No. 5 position. Her win over CSU clinched a 6-1 win for the Buffs on March 5. She and teammate Annabelle Andrinopoulos paired for a 6-4 win over Utah on April 16, her first career Pac-12 doubles win.
 
TENNIS IN AUSTRALIA: Beck accumulated an impressive four-year singles record of 56-4 at the Associated Public School (APS). She was a member of four Wesley College championship teams from 2011-14, and part of a Lions team that achieved a 60-0 record during team play over her four years. She also played on two Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club – Victorian Grade 1 Pennant League championship teams (2012 and 2013), and on a pair of Australian Teams that toured and played in Europe. Beck was a U-18 International Tennis Federation (ITF) Grade 4 – Gallipoli Cup Finalist, a U-18 ITF Grade 3 Queensland Winner, a U-16 Australian National Hardcourt Singles Finalist, and a U-14 Australian National Hardcourt Singles Champion. She also represented the state of Victoria in the U-12 and U-14 National Team Championships (team won 12’s and finalist in 14’s). She was ranked in the top three in the state of Victoria throughout her youth (U-12, U-14, U-16) and has also been ranked among Australia’s top five in her age group (U-12, U-14, U-16).
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Her intended course of study is biochemistry.
 
PERSONAL: She was born on January 25, 1996, in Cape Town, South Africa to Andre and Ingrid Beck. She has an older sister, Andrea. Beck and teammate Annabelle Andrinopoulos are the first Australians on CU’s tennis roster since 2005-06. Her nickname is “B.” She comes from an athletic family where cousin, Paul Janse van Rensburg played college tennis at Columbus State; cousin Madelie Janse van Rensburg played tennis at Samford; cousin Zahn Malherbe played soccer at Northwestern; and cousin, Stephanie Malherbe played college at Texas A&M. Her endeavors after CU include being a professional tennis player and studying medicine. She enjoys watching movies, listening to music, sketching/drawing, reading, taking her dog to parks, hiking/bushwalking and volunteering. In 2013, Beck earned a number of accolades including an academic award for theatre studies, an academic award for Spanish, and one for drama. She also enjoys to volunteer in her spare time with a variety of organizations. Part of her volunteering has included serving as an ambassador for the Robert Connor Dawes fund in Melbourne (supports brain cancer research, care and development) and she has worked closely with founder Liz Dawes for two years. Beck has also traveled to Kenya in 2013 to help children in underprivileged living conditions and volunteers her time helping a Melbourne organization called Big Umbrella, which feeds homeless people.
