HIGH SCHOOL: Farmer comes to the Buffs from San Diego where he was a highly decorated decathlon. Farmer won the Arcadia Decathlon and set the San Diego section all-time record in the decathlon with a score of 6.963 point. As a junior Farmer placed fourth in the decathlon in the USATF junior Olympics, as well as placing third in the 2017 Arcadia Invitational. He is a two-time state champion in the decathlon. He boasts personal records of 37.81 in the 300-meter hurdles, 6-6 in the high jump, 4:33.66 in the 1,500 and 43-7 in the shot put. He was named the Palomar Field Athlete of the Year as a senior. Farmer was a three-time SDUT All-Academic selection.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Farmer intends to major in sociology.

PERSONAL: Joshua Michael Farmer was born December 11^th, 1999 in Laguna Hills, California. He is the son of Matt and Kristin Farmer. Both of his parents were decorated collegiate athletes. His mom played soccer and ran track for Cal Poly Pomona and was a three-time All-American in the 1,500. His father competed for UC Irvine and was a three-time Big West Champion in the decathlon. He has a younger sister named Jacey.
