- NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier in the mile and DMR
- All-American in men's DMR, 8th at NCAA Indoor Championships
- Anchored the 3rd place DMR at the Big 12 Indoor Championships
- Ran the No. 2 mile time in Buffs history of 3:53.05@ at the Colorado Classic, a mark that qualified him for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
- In his first race as a Colorado Buff, Kipkoech recorded a top-three program finish in the mile at the Colorado Invitational, running 4:00.79 (3:54.92 adjusted for altitude).

Cross Country
- Competed in four races, placing 2nd in the 10K at the NCAA Southeast Regional and 3rd in the 8K at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
Indoor Track & Field
- Competed in nine races, winning the 5000 meters at the ASUN Championships (13:58.92) and placing 3rd in the 3000 meters (7:51.23). Set personal bests in the 1500 meters (3:38.15) and the mile (3:54.62) at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic.
Outdoor Track & Field
- Competed in two races, finishing 6th in the 5000 meters at the Raleigh Relays with a personal-best time of 13:33.87.
