2017: Indoor: Martin ran the 3,000 and the 5,000-meters during the indoor season. He recorded his fastest 3k at the MPSF Championships, finishing in 8:19.04. His best time of the season in the 5k was at the Husky Classic where Martin ran a 14:26.79.
Outdoor: Martin set a personal record in the 3k at the CU Invite (4/8) with a time of 8:38.66, which earned him a fourth place finish. He ran the 5k at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 15th.
2016: Indoor: Did not compete.
Outdoor: Martin ran in three races for the Buffs. His first race was a 1,500, finishing fifth at Fum McGraw in 4:04.17. At the CU Invite, Martin raced the 3,000, clocking a third place finish in 8:47.25. His final race of the season was the 5,000 at the Bryan Clay Invite where he finished the third section third in 14:36.28.
2015: Indoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
Outdoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: (2017) Martin competed in six races for the Buffs. His season started with a ninth place finish at the Colorado State Invitational before placing 72nd at the Joe Piane Invitational. Martin’s following meet was the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational where he was 22nd in the ‘B’ race. He went on to finish 61st at the Pac-12 Championships and was 35th at regionals.
(2016) Martin started his junior season with a 10th place finish at the CSU Invite before leading CU at the Bradley Classic with a fourth place finish. That finish earned him a spot on the varsity team where he ran to a 42nd place finish at the Pac-12 Championship. He improved to 37th at regionals before finishing the season with a 192nd place finish at nationals.
(2015) Martin saw action in four meets for the Buffs. He made his CU debut at the Colorado State Invitational, placing 17th overall. He improved to 11th at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and then went on to place sixth in the open race at NCAA Pre-Nationals. Martin’s final race was at Pac-12s, where he finished 68th overall.
AT NEBRASKA (2013): Martin only ran cross country while at Nebraska as a freshman and competed in four meets. His highest finish of the season was 13th at the Time Young Invitational in Vermillion, S.D. Martin raced to an 85th place finish at the Big Ten Championships to end the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Martin earned six letters on the cross country (three) and the track and field teams (three) at Heritage High School. He is the HHS 3,200-meter run record holder (9:36). Individually he was fifth in the 1,600 and was sixth in the 3,200 at the 5A state championships in 2013. Martin was all-state and first team all-league in cross country as a junior and senior. Martin was a member of the HHS team that was the runner-up at the state meet in 2011. That same year, the team won the Continental League Championship and was the 5A Region 2 Champion. The Eagles won the region championship again in 2011.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Martin is majoring in international affairs while minoring in German. He owns a GPA greater than 3.60.
PERSONAL: Christian Henner Martin was born on November 3, 1994 in Phoenix, Ariz. He is the son of Matt and Monique Martin of Littleton, Colo. His younger sister, Remi, is a defenseman for the Penn State women’s ice hockey team. He enjoys traveling and has been to 28 countries. Martin holds dual citizenship with the United States and Germany as his mother is from Germany.
