2010: Indoor: McCall completed her final indoor season with personal records in both the shot put and weight throws. She PR’d in the shot put at the Big 12 Championship. There she recorded a mark of 42-03.50, which was almost a foot further than her previous best of 41-05.25 that McCall recorded twice during the 2010 season. Her best event was the weight throw. She placed second at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight meet after launching a throw of 50-10.75. The toss made McCall the fifth best performer at CU in the event.  

Outdoor: McCall also had a successful outdoor season, recording personal bests in three of the four events she competed in. Two of those PRs came at the Fum McGraw meet (5/8). McCall was third in the shot put after launching a toss of 44-00 and took 11th in the javelin with a throw of 65-08. She also placed 15th in the discus at that meet with a mark of 113-05. McCall’s best mark in the hammer throw came at the Front Range Classic (5/1). There she recorded a mark of 150-04, surpassing 150 feet for the first time in her career. 

2009: Indoor: McCall competed in four meets during the indoor season, doubling in the shot put and weight throws. She recorded a PR of 44-11.50 at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight for sixth place. McCall’s best finish in the shot put was at the Air Force Invite (38-11.75).

Outdoor: The outdoor campaign slightly shifted gears for McCall as she kept with the shot put and also participated in the hammer and discus throw. She earned a personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 131-09. McCall’s top throw of the year in the shot put was 41-01.75 at the Jack Christiansen Invite. 

2008: Indoor: McCall collected season bests in both the indoor shot put and weight throws. Her best throw in the shot put came at the CSM All-Comers Meet where McCall took second (40-10.25). She recorded her PR in the weight throw at Big 12s (41-10.75), placing 22nd. McCall also took 19th at the meet in the shot put (38-08.50).

Outdoor: The outdoor season continued to show improvement for McCall as she recorded prs in all three events. She recorded a season best of 114-07 in the hammer at the Rob Upton Invite and placed 15th overall. Her PR in the discus came at the Tom Benich Invite (118-1). McCall’s strongest event during outdoors was the shot put. She earned a PR of 42-07.50 at the CSU Ram Open (fifth overall). McCall competed at Big 12s in the event and placed 18th (39-01.25).

2007: Indoor: McCall had a successful freshman campaign as she competed in the shot put during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. During the indoor season she set a personal record with a throw of 39-10.00 at the Don Barrett Open, finishing in eighth place. McCall had her highest finish of the year at the Potts Indoor Invite where she took first with a throw of 39-08.50. She wrapped up the indoor season at the Big 12 Indoor meet with a 21st place finish.

Outdoor: McCall continued to improve and set a season-best of 41-03.25 at the Tom Benich Invite where she took third. She also took third at the Air Force Twilight Invite and she earned a second-place finish at the Wyoming Invite.

HIGH SCHOOL: McCall was a three-time letterwinner at Cherokee Trail High School. She recorded a pair of school records in the shot put and discus throws. McCall also earned two letters in volleyball. 

ACADEMICS: McCall majored in psychology and linguistics and graduated with a GPA greater than 3.0. She was a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. McCall was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team three times (2008, 09, 10).

PERSONAL: Chynna Sierra McCall was born on Dec. 4, 1987 in Lorain, Ohio. Her parents are Kenneth and Audrey McCall of Centennial, Colo. She has two younger sisters, Raina and Kassia. McCall lists playing the piano, music, art and making t-shirts as her hobbies. She is currently volunteering at Boulder Valley High School and Whiterer Elementary School tutoring students.
