2021: Indoor: Did not compete (cross country)
Outdoor: Competed six times for the Buffs ... Ran the 1500m at the PAC-12 Championships, scoring for the Buffs with a 4th place finish ... Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1500m, where she finished 23rd and received an All-America Honorable Mention.

2020: Indoor: Opened the season running 2:09.83 in the 800 and running on the women's DMR at the Colorado Invitiational as the team finished with the second-best time in school history ... Ran 4:42.68 in the mile at the Husky Classic to finish 17th ... Placed 7th at the MPSF Championships in the mile at 4:43.37 ... Qualifed for nationals in the DMR but the championships were canceled due to the coronavirus.

CROSS COUNTRY:
2019: Competed for the Buffs and out of the gate had a personal best in the 5k at the Notre Dame Invite ... Placed 18th at the Pac-12 Championships and 20th at regionals ... Finished 85th at the NCAA Championships.

AT VILLANOVA: McArthur ran two seasons at Villanova. In her sophomore season, she was named the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Athlete of the Year after winning the regional crown. McArthur was also the runner-up at the BIG EAST Championships just two weeks prior, which was an improvement of 21 places from her freshman campaign. McArthur competed at the NCAA Championship both seasons for the Wildcats.

HIGH SCHOOL: McArthur lettered in cross country, as well as indoor and outdoor track and field at Patriot High School. During her time there, she won seven state titles and was named the Gatorade Virginia Girls Track & Field Player of the Year in 2017. McArther set the Virginia state indoor 800-meter record. She anchored her school’s distance medley relay team to a Penn Relays High School Girls Championship of American title in 2015. She qualified for several top events, including Nike Nationals (XC), adidas Dream Mile and Millrose Game.

HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 800-meter: 2:05.68; 1,600-meters: 4:41.67; 3,200-meters: 10:35.19.

IN THE CLASSROOM: McArthur is majoring in speech, language and hearing sciences. While at Villanova, she earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for cross country and track and field. She was also named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

PERSONAL: Rachel Louise McArthur was born on August 4, 1999 in Virginia. She is the daughter of Heath and Lisa McArthur of Bristow, Va., and has two sisters, Kim and Emily. She enjoys reading, hiking and art. McArthur has been a volunteer coach for a local program near her home in Va. and has previously spent time volunteering at an animal shelter in Pa.
