Anna Nedovic has been Colorado’s starting power forward the last two seasons. Entering her senior campaign, she is CU’s most experienced player in terms of games played with 84 and ranks 15th on CU’s all-time 3-point field goal list with 47. Nedovic has considerable size at 6-4 and an outside shooting ability that gives the Buffs a whole different dimension offensively and can cause headaches for the opposing defense.

2005-06 (Junior): Nedovic was the only Buff to start every game of the 2005-06 season averaging 5.8 points and 4.3 rebound in just over 21 minutes per game. Although her numbers were slightly down from her sophomore season, her field-goal accuracy has improved each year, from just under 35 percent as a freshman to nearly 42 percent as a junior. She had a big game against Northern Arizona (12/19) at the San Juan Shootout where she played all 45 minutes of the one-point overtime loss, scoring a career-high 25 points and also recording personal-bests with 11 field goals and 15 field-goal attempts. Nedovic was once again one of CU’s top rebounders ranking third on the squad with 130. She registered five or more rebounds on 12 occasions including a career-high 13 boards in the win over Northern Colorado (2/13). Nedovic also had a great night from the floor against UNC, hitting 7-of-9 shots (.778) to finish with 15 points. She had two double-doubles as a junior (Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado), giving her six for her career.

2004-05 (Sophomore): Nedovic topped Colorado and ranked 13th in the Big 12 Conference in rebounding as a sophomore with a 6.5 per game average. She ranked even higher (11th) on the defensive boards within the league charts at 4.5 per game. Nedovic sported four double-doubles on the season (Loyola Marymount, Colorado State, Northern Colorado and Iowa State), one of only 12 players in the Big 12 to achieve that feat. She started off the 2004-05 season with a bang scoring a then career-high 23 points on 7-of-11 from the field and 10 rebounds in CU’s win over Loyola Marymount (11/19). Included in her 63.6 percent shooting night was a personal-best 4-of-5 from the 3-point arc. Nedovic was third on the team in 3-point field goals with 25 and ranked second in minutes played (30.8 mpg), free throws made (57) and free throws attempted (82). Her exploits from the charity stripe included a perfect 8-for-8 night against Creighton (12/4), a personal-high, team season best and tied for the best mark in the Big 12 in 2004-05. Nedovic had 10 outings with double-figure points including another 23-point effort against Northern Colorado (12/29). She had six double-figure rebounding nights and six more with at least eight, peaking with a then career-high 12 boards against No. 16/16 Kansas State (1/29). Nedovic started 27 of 28 contests, stepping aside in favor of Sarah Lini on senior night 2005.

2003-04 (Freshman): Nedovic saw most of her action on the season backing up senior Randie Wirt at the power forward spot, but also getting some time at small forward. Nedovic appeared in 26 of CU’s 30 games on the season, starting one, and scoring in 21 of those efforts. Her lone start against Oklahoma, paired with Emily Waner, marked the first time since 1998-99 that two freshmen started a game together (Mandy Nightingale, Linda Lappe). She tipped off her career at CU with six points vs. Old Dominion, hitting two 3-pointers. Nedovic really broke out vs. No. 1 Texas, when she lit up the Longhorns for a season-high 10 points, including two 3-pointers and, pulling down a five rebounds in 27 minutes of action. That performance earned her the first start of her career, at Oklahoma, where she scored seven points in 15 minutes of play.

High School: Nedovic, out of Ballerup, Denmark, outside Copenhagen, played her club basketball for BF Copenhagen. She was named the Danish Player of the Year in 2002 in the Elite Division after leading her team to the Danish Championship during her first season in the senior league. They repeated as Danish Champions in 2003 under coach Claus Stroh and won the Cup Championship that year as well, encompassing all divisions of Danish basketball, losing only one game. Nedovic was a member of the Danish Junior National Team in 2001.

Academics: Nedovic is majoring in Spanish at Colorado.

Personal: Anda Anna Nedovic was born August 4, 1983 in Herlev, Copenhagen. She was born and raised in Denmark, but her family is originally from Yugoslavia, where she spends her summers. She is the daughter of Velimir and Nevenka Nedovic, and has two sisters, Natasa (33) and Milica (31). Both of her sisters played basketball in Denmark and were on the junior and senior national teams.
