2016-17 (Redshirt Sophomore): Freeman played in 31 games as a sophomore, averaging 7.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. She had totals of 239 points, 100 rebounds, 28 steals and 26 assists, while shooting 40.8 percent from the floor. She scored in double figures 11 times. Her first double-digit scoring game came in a win over Air Force on Nov. 13 as she had 12 points and six rebounds. She scored a career-high 24 points, shooting 11-of-16 from the floor, in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Nov. 25. Freeman scored 19 points and had six rebounds, four assists and three steals in a win over Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 30. She wrapped up non-conference season with back-to-back 15-point performances against Mississippi Valley State and Wyoming, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor with eight rebounds against the Cowgirls on Dec. 21. She matched her career high with eight rebounds again on Jan. 6 in a win over Arizona. Freeman put together two of her best performances of the year against Washington State, scoring 14 points in a win on Feb. 3, and dropping 16 points on March 2 in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. She also had 12 points and six rebounds on March 23 against Iowa in the third round of the WNIT.
2015-16 (Sophomore): Freeman redshirted the 2015-16 season after transferring from Louisville. She has three years of eligibility remaining.
2014-15 (Freshman at Louisville): Played in 19 games as a true freshman for the No. 8 (AP)/10 (USAT) ranked Cardinals who advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16. She averaged just over five minutes per game and totaled 23 rebounds and 16 points on the season.
High School: Freeman is a 2014 graduate of Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Va. She was the 2014 Washington Catholic Player of the Year, finishing her career as the school’s all-time leading scorer. She led Paul VI to its first WCAC championship as a senior averaging 16.2 points per game. Freeman was twice selected to the All-Met first team and three times to the All-WCAC first team. She averaged 19.7 points and 10.8 rebounds as a junior and was the only non-senior on the 2012-13 All-WCAC squad. She was ranked in ESPN HoopGurlz Top 100 throughout her prep career, reaching as high as No. 15 as a sophomore. Freeman was the 24th rated wing coming out of high school.
Academics: Freeman is majoring in Journalism at Colorado, studying in the College of Media, Communication and Information. She would like to be a sports broadcaster after college. She maintained a 3.6 GPA in high school.
Personal: Born on July 8, 1996, in Boulder, she is the daughter of Desmond and Veronique Freeman. Her parents are both Colorado alums and her dad played football for the Buffaloes from 1994-97 as a tight end, then known as Desmond Dennis. She has one brother, Josiah, who is in the eighth grade. She enjoys cooking and eating and loves scary movies.
