2020-21 (Sophomore): Played in 13 games…scored a season-high five points in back-to-back games against Western Colorado and Air Force…Played a season-high 11 minutes against Air Force…Averaged 1.1 points in 5.3 minutes per game.
Freshman (At Rend Lake CC 2019-20): Buford started all 33 games as a freshman for the Warriors and led the team with 21.1 points per game...Buford was 37.8 percent (233-616) from the field and finished the season 30.0 percent (67-223) from 3-point range...Converted 67 3-pointers on the season...Was First-Team All-Conference and All-Region, also earning Regional Newcomer of the Year...Buford’s success also earned her honorable mention NJCAA All-America honors.
In The Classroom: Plans to study cybersecurity.
High School: She scored more than 1,400 career points during her high school career and was First-Team All-Conference her sophomore to senior seasons at Lutheran North...She averaged 16.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists on her way to Conference Player of the Year honors as a senior. Burford, a McDonald All-American nominee, was a three-time First-Team All-District selection and a two-time First-Team All-State honoree...Buford played with the Missouri Phenom Nike EYBL for four years, advancing to the AAU Nationals once.
Personal: Her father, Tony, played linebacker at the University of Tulsa and went on to play with the St. Louis Cardinals (since relocated to Arizona) in the National Football League. She has two brothers, Micheal Hubbard and Jack Buford. Micheal was in the military and Jack is an offensive lineman at the University of Missouri.
