2016-17 (Redshirt Freshman): Burich played in all 33 games as a redshirt freshman, averaging 4.0 points and 3.2 rebounds. She totaled 131 points, 107 rebounds and 32 steals, while shooting 40.6 percent from the floor and 78.9 percent at the free throw line. She scored eight points, had seven rebounds and buried a pair of 3-pointers in her first career game, a win at Northern Colorado on Nov. 11. Burich scored a season-high 19 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the floor, making both of her 3-point attempts and all three of her free throw attempts, and had eight rebounds and two steals in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Nov. 25. She also reached double figures the following night, scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, and grabbed six rebounds in a win over SMU. She scored 14 points and had six rebounds in a win over Colorado State on Dec. 8. Her season-high in Pac-12 play came on Jan. 28 at Utah when she scored nine points on 4-of-4 shooting. The biggest shot of her season came in CU’s WNIT second-round overtime win at South Dakota State on March 19 when she hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to end the first half to bring the Buffs within one points of the Jackrabbits at halftime.
2015-16 (Freshman): Burich missed the 2015-16 season after tearing the ACL in her left knee. She has four years of eligibility remaining.
High School: Burich is a 2015 graduate of Roseville Area High School. She averaged 18.7 points and nine rebounds to lead the Raiders to the Suburban East Conference title and a spot in the Class 4A Section 4 finals. A Miss Minnesota Basketball finalist, Burich finished her career with 1,266 points, 830 rebounds, 342 assists and 302 steals. She is a two-time Class 4A All-State selection by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association and a three-time all-conference selection. Burich averaged 15.5 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks as a junior, helping Roseville to a 21-7 record. Burich had an impressive athletic resume for the Raiders, exceling at basketball, volleyball and track and field. She was the 2014 St. Paul Pioneer Press Volleyball Player of the Year, guiding the Raiders to a 26-6 record and fourth place finish at the Minnesota Class AAA State Tournament. She is also a three-time state meet qualifier in track & field which included a fourth place finish in the discus as a senior, earning all-state honors. Burich was the 2015 Athena Award Winner and the Lions Club Saint Paul Female Athlete of the Year.
Academics: Burich is majoring in Business at Colorado. She was named Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention in 2016-17.
Personal: Born on May 10, 1997, in Roseville, Minn., she is the daughter of Bob and Kristin Burich. She has two older siblings, Janae, who played basketball at North Dakota State, and Jordan, who is a junior for the St. Thomas (Minn.) basketball team. Her mother played basketball and participated in the high jump for the track & field team at Jamestown (N.D.) College. She enjoys hanging out with friends, eating, track & field and volleyball.
