1999-00 – Noon competed in two tournaments as a sophomore, averaging 83.60 strokes in five rounds. Her season-best 75 came in the first round of the Heather Farr Memorial in September.
1998-99 – Noon shot the second-most rounds (16) of CU’s freshman class, and her 82.88 strokes per round was the second-highest of the Buff newcomers. She finished tied for 30th twice during the season when she fired a 244 at the GTE ‘Mo’ Morial in College Station, Texas and at the Mountain View Classic in Tucson, Ariz. Her 162 was a 36-hole season low and her 241 at the Big 12 Championships is a 54-hole collegiate best. Noon was CU’s No. 4 scorer in four tournaments and No. 3 at the GTE ‘Mo’ Morial.
High School – A four-year letterwinner for head coach Jim Hosley and the Arcata girls’ golf team, Noon wan an all-county selection, and county medalist, each of her four years as a prep. Arcata won the Northern California sectionals her final year with the school, when she was named Arcata’s senior athlete of the year and academic athlete of the year. She also lettered four times in tennis at Arcata, earning all-county honors in doubles as a junior, and twice in basketball as a guard.
Personal – Born May 6, 1980, in Annapolis, Md. She was chosen her high school’s “Best Artist” as a senior, and won best of show honors in an Arcata art show as both a junior and senior. Her father, Barry Noon, participated on the football, crew and rugby teams while attending Princeton. She lists her hobbies as tennis, golf, photography and traveling.
In the Classroom – A fine arts-studio major in Colorado’s college of Arts & Sciences, Noon will carry a 3.170 grade point average into her sophomore season.
