2006-07 (Senior): Did not compete in any tournaments.
2005-06 (Junior): Woods joined the golf team at Colorado in the spring after transferring to CU from Pepperdine at the beginning of her junior year. She played three rounds for the Buffaloes, all at the MountainView Collegiate where she finished 70th. Her low round at MountainView was 78.
At Pepperdine (2003-04): Played three rounds as a freshman at Pepperdine, with a scoring average of 87.67 and a low round of 83. She did not play as a sophomore.
High School: Woods played for coach Tim Zietse at Denver Christian, helping lead the Crusaders to the 2003 Denver Prep League Championship. They were also the 2003 City Cup Champions and took second in the Colorado Regional that same year. She was named the team’s most valuable player, was a CHSAA Academic All-State First Team pick and was also named Honorable Mention All-State after taking eight place in the state tournament.
Other: In 2002, Woods claimed second place in the second flight of the CWGA Junior Stroke Play Championship, and won the junior club championship at Denver Country Club.
In the Classroom: Woods hopes to major integrative physiology at Colorado, and is interested in becoming a pediatrician or pursing a career in rural medicine. She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school and was named the Most Outstanding Senior at DCHS.
Personal: Catherine Scott Woods was born Dec. 21, 1984 in Denver, and is the daughter of Charles and Deborah Woods of Denver. She has two older sisters; Emily (30) is a 1999 graduate of the University of Montana, and Sarah (27) is a 2001 CSU grad. She is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at CU and serves on their scholarship committee.
