2005-06 (Junior): Koth was a member of CU's five regulars for much of her junior year. She played 26 rounds on the season, with a career-low collegiate scoring average of 79.69. Koth's top finish came in the MountainView Collegiate, where she was 35th after carding a 73 in her final round, her low round of the season. She was also important to CU's third place finish at the Big 12 Tournament, where she finished 37th. Her spring scoring average was a career-best 78.65.
2004-05 (Sophomore): Koth increased her playing time by a round as a sophomore, playing in five rounds in a pair of tournaments and lowered her strokes average by four shots for a career low 80.0. She opened 2004 the way she did ?03, at CU’s Heather Farr Memorial. She shaved eight strokes off her sophomore score to finish 44th with an 83-77-160. Her lone tournament of the spring was CU’s MountainView Collegiate where she recorded a career low 76 in the final round of the day.
2003-04 (Freshman): Koth’s 58th place finish with a two-round 83-86-169 at the Big 12 Tournament was just the second tournament finish of her freshman year and first since CU’s own Heather Farr Memorial in October where she finished 78th (83-85-168) playing as an individual.
High School: Koth was a three-time all-city player her sophomore through senior seasons, honorable mention all-state as a sophomore, second-team all-state as a junior and as a senior was first-team all-conference and state, City Player of the Year and state Player of the Year after winning the state tournament, tying the state championship record low score (150). The Crusaders were state champions in 2001 and ?02 and following her senior season, Koth was tabbed Madison’s Sportswoman of the Year. She also competed on Madison Edgewood’s basketball (forward) and soccer (forward) teams.
Best Career Round: Koth shot a 73 in the Madison City Tournament on the Meadows of Six Mile Creek in Madison.
Other: Koth shot a then-career low 74 at the City Tournament on the Nakoma C.C. course and again at the state championships on the University Ridge G.C. in Madison. During the summer of ?04 she was the first flight runner up at the Women’s Western Amateur and won the Madison Women’s City Tournament with a 73-77-75 and also played in the Wisconsin State Stroke Play (79-78-75).
In The Classroom: A student ambassador at Madison Edgewood, Koth is an open option major at CU and will carry a better than 3.0 grade point average into her junior season. Following graduation she would either like to follow in her parents’ footsteps and go into Real Estate or set up tournaments for the PGA.
Personal: Lindsay Ann Koth was born Sept. 23, 1984 in Madison, Wis. Her parents are Robin Koth and Denise Holmes of Middleton. She has a 19-year-old sister, Brittany, who is a CU student. Her hobbies include playing basketball, skiing, horseback riding, sleeping and music... not necessarily in that order. She grew up on a farm and competed in barrelracing with her horses.
