Carly Cox
Carly Cox was a four-year letterwinner for the Buffs, playing from 2015-18, and is in her fourth season on the staff, her third as the director for player development.
 
A starter in 74 of 76 games played, Cox recorded 92 goals, 63 assists, 60 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. She recorded 44 points her junior and senior campaigns, with a career-high 32 goals in 2018. Of the attacker’s 59 shots her senior year, 47 were on goal for a .797 shots on goal percentage. As a junior, she recorded 27 goals and 17 assists.                     
 
Over the course of her four seasons with the Buffs, she helped the team record a 54-22 (.711), which included an impressive 28-5 mark in Boulder. The Buffs were a perfect 8-0 during her junior season and compiled a 7-0 mark her senior year. Throughout three seasons, the Buffs recorded 19 consecutive wins in Boulder, which tied the fifth longest streak in NCAA history. 
 
During Cox’s senior season, the Buffs won the inaugural regular season Pac-12 Championship, finishing with a 9-1 mark. The Buffs also advanced to their second straight NCAA Tournament and won their first NCAA Tournament with a 23-18 win against Jacksonville.
 
Cox excelled in all three sports she played at Bay Shore High School. She recorded over 300 points in her prep lacrosse career, helping the Marauders to three Suffolk County Championships (in 2010, ’11 and ’13) and the 2012 Long Island Championship. In her final three seasons, Cox received all-county and Scholar-Athlete awards, helping Bay Shore to a 44-9 record during that span. Cox lettered three seasons as an outside hitter for the Bay Shore volleyball team, earning all-league honors in her final two seasons. She was also all-county as a junior and all-classification and MVP as a senior, setting a single season dig record. In four years with the basketball team, Cox played both point and shooting guard and earned all-league and MVP honors in back-to-back seasons. She also excelled academically, earning a spot on the honor as a sophomore and junior and the high honor roll as a senior.
 
The native of Bay Shore, N.Y., Cox earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising from CU. Cox enjoys going to the beach and playing basketball and volleyball.
