JUNIOR (2016): Did not appear in any games. Served as a team manager after suffering a career-ending injury.
SOPHOMORE (2015): Krause saw action in one game against Saint Mary’s (Calif.) and helped the Buffs to a 21-5 victory.
FRESHMAN (2014): Krause was sidelined for the majority of the season due to an injury, but saw action in one game, making her collegiate debut against Regis.
COACH ELLIOTT ON KRAUSE: "Maddy is a defensive minded player who has great vision on the field. She is a strong anchor on defense and a great communicator. Maddy has a positive attitude and is a very unselfish player, making her a great addition to our team."
HIGH SCHOOL: Krause was a four-year letter-winner and three-time first-team All-League selection at Regis Jesuit. In her senior season, Krause took home a conference championship with the Raiders and was named to the All-State defensive team. In 2012, the Raiders posted a 14-3 record, while becoming league champions. In her sophomore season, she led her team in assists and goals, helping her to an All-State honorable mention selection. Krause began playing with the Team 180 lacrosse club in 2005, where she won the Sandstorm Tournament four consecutive years. Krause also earned letters as a member of the Regis field hockey team and the 2010 state champion swim team.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Krause majors in psychology.Â
PERSONAL: Madison Ann Krause was born on October 7, 1994 to Tom and Tammy Krause. Her parents were both athletes at Texas Christian University. Her father was a swimmer, and her mother played soccer. Her uncle, Nick Rudden, played baseball at Michigan, and her aunt, Casey Rudden, played tennis at the University of Redlands. Krause enjoys baking, hiking, being outdoors and listening to John Mayer. She is a Denver Nuggets fan. She chose CU so she could play in her home state with some of her closest friends. Krause was teammates with Olympian Missy Franklin on the Regis Jesuit swim team.
