SENIOR (2017): In the five games she played during the season, Baker caused three turnovers, had one draw control and picked up three groundballs. The senior defender had one groundball and a season high two caused turnovers in the win against Stetson on Feb 19. She had one draw control and one groundball to help the Buffs beat Winthrop on March 15, and one groundball in the win against Saint Mary’s on April 21.

JUNIOR (2016): Baker played in 10 games as a defender. She recorded two ground balls, two draw controls and caused two turnovers. She had two ground balls and a caused turnover in a 15-3 win over Central Connecticut on March 5. She recorded a caused turnover in a 19-4 win over Marist on March 21 and had a draw control each in wins against San Diego State and Saint Mary’s (Calif.). She also earned MPSF all-academic honors for the second year in a row.

SOPHOMORE (2015): This season Baker played in 15 games, with starts in 12. Once again she was an important part of the Buffs defense and scooped up ten ground balls, tallied nine draw controls, and caused six turnovers. In addition to her strong performance on the field, Baker worked hard in classes as well and earned a spot on the MPSF All-Academic Team. She had a season-high two ground balls twice, tallying a pair in a 13-5 win over Marquette on Feb. 14 and again in a 17-7 win over UMass Lowell on March 27. Her three draw controls in a win over Saint Mary's (Calif.) on April 17 were also a season high.

FRESHMAN (2014): Baker was an important part of Colorado’s inaugural season. She was one of seven Buffs to start all 19 games in 2014. Baker ranked or tied for third on the team with 31 ground balls, 30 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers. She had at least one ground ball in all but three games and at least one draw control in all but four. Baker had a strong end to the season, scooping up two or more ground balls in each of the Buffs’ final five games. She had a standout performance in the first round of the MPSF Tournament, grabbing five ground balls and controlling four draws, while also causing a turnover. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Baker excelled as a four-year letter-winner at Bay Shore. The Marauders won two Suffolk County Championships in a three-year span, taking home titles in 2010 and 2013. The team also won the Long Island Championship in 2012. In Bakers’ final two seasons of lacrosse at Bay Shore, she received back-to-back honors as an all-county selection, an Academic All-American and an MVP. As a junior, she was also an all-tournament and National School Girls second-team selection. Baker played on the Long Island Top Guns club and competed in three sports at Bay Shore in addition to lacrosse. In the No. 1 singles and doubles positions in tennis, she was a four-time all-county selection, was named team captain and MVP her junior and senior seasons and received all-league honors her freshman year. In her fourth season with the basketball team, Baker was honored an Academic All-County selection.  Baker also did a season of winter track.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Baker graduated with degrees in finance and accounting.

PERSONAL: Perri Baker was born on June 11, 1995 to Charles and Germaine Baker. Her favorite athlete is New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz. She enjoys the band Mumford and Sons and the movie Baby Mama. She has worked as a lifeguard during the summers in New York. She has taken the National Mythology Exam and is a member of the National Honor Society. She chose CU for the great academics and the experience of being on the first women's lacrosse team.
