SENIOR (2018): Evensen played in one game her final season as a reserve defender. She entered the game against Arizona State (4/8) and helped limit the Sun Devils to just three goals.

JUNIOR (2017): Evensen played in three games this year as a reserve defender against Stetson, Winthrop and Saint Mary’s. She excelled in the classroom and was named to the IWCLA Academic Honor Roll.
SOPHOMORE (2016): Evensen appeared in three games as a reserve. She recorded a ground ball in a 23-0 win over Saint Mary’s (Calif.). She also played against Denver and Marist.

FRESHMAN (2015): Evensen played in four games her first season with CU and had two shots on goal and one ground ball. Both of her shot attempts and her ground ball came at No. 7 Northwestern on March 7. She helped the Buffs to end the season with an 11-7 overall record.

HIGH SCHOOL: Evensen had an outstanding career, competing in lacrosse, alpine skiing and cross country. Playing every field position in lacrosse, Evensen helped the Ponies to four consecutive state championships, helping Stillwater to its first ever state appearance as a freshman. The squad also won four straight conference and section championships. Her team captain as a senior, she led the Ponies to a 16-3 record and was named an All-Conference honorable mention. Evensen also competed with two lacrosse clubs: the Minnesota Lakers from 2009-10 and the Minnesota Elite from 2010-14. On the mountain, Evensen helped the alpine skiing team to four consecutive conference championships and the 2013 section championship. She earned All-Conference honors for skiing in three seasons. She was also successful in the classroom, earning academic recognition for the lacrosse and ski teams four and three years in a row, respectively.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Evensen is majoring in accounting and finanace.

PERSONAL: Sydney Pearl Evensen was born on June 27, 1996, to parents Dale and Kerry Evensen, who both work as lawyers. Her father played football at St. Olaf. After graduation, Evensen would like to work in international sales. Evensen enjoys skiing (both on the water and the mountains), wake boarding and running. Her favorite teams are Minnesota’s Wild and Vikings, and her favorite athlete is Adrian Peterson.
