FRESHMAN (2004): Eckenhoff made one appearance at goalkeeper, playing five minutes in a 4-1 win over LSU on Sept. 17. She did not face any shots.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner at New Trier High School, the Trevians were 86-16-8 Eckenhoff's freshman through senior seasons, culminating in an unbeaten 28-0-2 en route to regional, sectional and the AA State championship senior campaign where Eckenhoff held a .360 goals against average as starting keeper and was a first-team all-state pick. As a junior the Trevians were the North Suburban Conference and regional champions. She graduated in 2003 with prep records in single season goals allowed (9, 2002, '03), single season (17, 2003) and career (27) single season (.360, 2003) and career (.480) goals against average. She also played basketball (post) for three seasons and played for 10 years on the Trevian Soccer Club under coach Roy Wiggenansen. Echenhoff had a three-week stint on CU's nationally ranked club team during the 2003-04 year, but injuries limited her play. Coming out of high school she chose to attend Colorado over Wisconsin and Purdue.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Eckenhoff is a sophomore academically and is an MCDB major at CU and would like to pursue a career in veterinarian medicine after college.

PERSONAL: Alison Jane Eckenhoff was born Dec. 2, 1984 in Chicago. She is the daughter of Walter and Joanne Eckenhoff of Glencoe. Her sister Carrie will be a senior on Emory's (Atlanta) soccer team and her younger sister, Katie, is a junior on New Trier's soccer team. Her hobbies include playing the flute (in high school) and horseback riding (English).
