SENIOR (2015): Love played in seven matches and started once as a midfielder as a senior. She had three shot attempts on the season. She attempted shots against Colorado College, New Mexico and Washington State. Her first career start came on Nov. 1 against Arizona State.
JUNIOR (2014): Love competed in three matches during her junior year. Her season debut came against Detroit and she also played against non-conference opponents Bryant and San Francisco.
SOPHOMORE (2013): Love saw field time in five matches, playing a season-high 10 minutes against UT-Martin in the DU Invitational. Love also played in one conference match at Washington State.
FRESHMAN (2012): Love played in five matches her freshman season. She made her debut in CU’s season opener, a 3-0 shutout of Northern Colorado. She saw minutes in two conference matches against California (2-3) and at Arizona (3-0).
HIGH SCHOOL: Love was a three-time first-team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection. In her senior year, she recorded 13 goals and eight assists for Las Lomas High School, helping the Knights to a 10-5-4 season. She was named the DFAL Co-Most Valuable Offensive Player as a junior, tallying five goals and six assists. She participated in club soccer with the Mustang Rampage of Danville, Calif., where she helped the team to a 11-1-2 record and won an Elite Clubs National League U-18 Northwest Conference title in 2012. She was a four-time CIF Scholar Athlete Award winner. She was also a four-time letter-winner with the Las Lomas cross country team, participating in CIF State Championships in 2008, 2010 and 2011.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Love majors in management in the CU Leeds School of Business.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Ashley Marie Love. She was born on February 17, 1994 to E. Dereck and Donna. She has one sister, Heather, who recently graduated from Northern Colorado with a degree in journalism. Love is interested in earth science and hopes to travel the world and start her own business after graduation. She enjoys running and has helped coach youth soccer teams.
