  • Inducted ino Metro State's Hall of Fame with teh 2004 and 2006 National Championship teams
  • 2023 RMAC Hall of Fame with the 2004 and 2006 National Championship teams
  • Individually inducted into the Metro State Hall of Fame in 2024 as a play and assistant coach
  • 2025 induction to the Metro State Hall of Fame with the 2008 women's team
  • Served as the College Advisory Program Director and ECNL Director for the Colorado Storm Soccer Association, and was the Director of Coaching U-15 – U-18 girls 
  • From 1988-94, Morgan was the head coach for the men and women’s varsity team at Wheat Ridge High School where he guided the program to a Jefferson County League Championship in 1991 and qualified for the state playoffs multiple years
  • Earned multiple awards including Jeffco 5A Girls’ Soccer Coach of Year, Jeffco 5A Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year and State 5A Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year
Professional Career
  • Won three straight State Championships from 1987-89 with the Colorado Comets U-23 Men’s team before spending two seasons with the Colorado Comets Amateur Soccer Club.
  • 1988, he played semi-professionally with SISL/USISL Colorado Comets Soccer Club where he earned a spot on the USISL All-Star Team twice.
Education
  • Played at Metro State from 1983-87
  • Was named a two-time NCAA/NAIA All-Star Selection in 1986-87 and a NAIA All-American in 1986
  • Earned a degree in sports club administration
  • He has also earned an Advanced National Diploma, National Diploma and Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) and holds a USSF “C” license as well as an ACEP Leader Level Certificate
