SOPHOMORE (2017): Kaplan made four appearances as a sophomore, helping CU reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament and break the school records for shutouts (14) and goals-against average (0.61). She played a season-high 26 minutes in her first appearance, a 6-0 win over UC Riverside on Aug. 27. For the year, she played 64 minutes and the Buffs outscored their opponents 2-0 during her time on the pitch.
 
FRESHMAN (2015 AT SOUTH CAROLINA): Kaplan played in 11 matches as a true freshman and scored one goal with four shot attempts. She scored her goal against Oklahoma on Aug. 23 in her second career match.
 
CLUB TEAM: She played for St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club and was attended ID2 camp for two years.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Kaplan graduated from Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS) in 2015. She also lettered in basketball. She earned either first or second honors each year.
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Kaplan is majoring in integrative physiology and wants to attend physician's assistant school after graduation.
 
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 15, 1997, she is the daughter of Gary and Jody Kaplan. Her brothers Lex and Jonny both played baseball at Tulane and Jonny was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks. She also has an older brother Jason, who built and runs The Source in Denver. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, cooking and watching movies, and also plays piano. She has been skiing since she was one year old.
