Bio
Sophomore (2003): Rankin didn't see any game action as a sophomore.
Freshman (2002): She started four of the first seven games, and was holding on to a 1.63 goals against average with a pair of shutouts and a career-best six saves at Kansas... she helped earn the Buffs the inaugural Soccer Classic title, going the distance in both games with six saves on the weekend, 'She definitely got one that she was not supposed to save,' complemented Hempen after the Maine game. After suffering a 2-0 loss to Texas A&M, she backed-up Sara Erskine the remainder of the season before playing the last 10:46 against A&M in the Big 12 Tournament.
High School: Rankin was an honorable mention All-Southern Prep Conference and All-North End performer as a freshman. She repeated her all-conference and All-North End honors as a sophomore and was honorable mention All-SPC as a junior and senior. She also spent some time as a field player her sophomore and junior seasons. He held a 1.00 gaa as a senior and was an honorable mention all-conference and team defensive mvp her freshman, sophomore and senior year. Her prep career culminated in Rankin playing in the inaugural McDonald's/Powerade High School All-American Game. Her Oklahoma Fury club team won the Orange Classic in Miami (Fla.) last December and state this past year.
In The Classroom: An academic honor roll student all four years at Casady, Rankin is a pre-journalism major that eclipsed the 3.0 mark in the spring.
Personal: Jeanne Elizabeth Rankin was born April 14, 1984 in Oklahoma City. She is the daughter of Robert Rankin of Oklahoma City and Laura Rankin of Edmond, Okla. Her sister, Julie Rankin, is a 2003 Brown grad, and her stepsisters, Jamie Pettis is an ?02 OSU grad while and Angie Pettis is a senior on the OSU campus. Her stepbrother Cole Pettis is also a senior at Casady.
