SOPHOMORE (2015): Reeves played in one match during the season, seeing action in nine minutes of a 3-0 win against Colorado College on Aug. 23.

FRESHMAN (2014): Reeves saw playing time in four matches highlighted by a season-high 31 minutes in the Buffs’ Pac-12 Conference opener against California. She also took the field in three non-conference contests.

HIGH SCHOOL: With her senior season still in progress, Reeves has already proven herself as one of the nation’s elite defenders. A three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Scholar Athlete and Principle’s Honor Roll recipient, Reeves has been key to Villa Park’s transformation and steady growth. As a freshman, she scored two goals and contributed five assists as the Spartans posted a 4-15-3 record. The team quickly turned things around, more than tripling their win total in Reeves’ sophomore season. That year, the Spartans went 17-6-4 and Reeves netted two goals and added seven assists. Her junior season, she had three goals and eight assists, helping Villa Park to a 19-6-5 record and earning first-team All-Orange County honors and an AP Scholar Award. Reeves was a first-team All-Century League selection as a sophomore and junior and has served as team captain during junior and senior seasons. In the IMG Academy 2014 Top 150 Rankings, Reeves is currently No. 101 overall, ranking No. 19 in Region IV and sitting as the 16th ranked defender. Reeves also helped the So Cal Blues to Blues Cup Championships in 2011 and ’13 and LV Players Showcase and Schwan’s USA Cup V Elite Puma Showcase Championships in 2012. Reeves also has extensive ODP experience, as a member of the Cal South ODP 1995 summer/winter pool from 2009-12 and the Region IV pool from 2009-11 (she received an invite in 2012). With the ODP team, Reeves won Region IV Championships three straight years, from 2010-12, and the National Championship in 2012. She was also invited to the National Development Camp in 2010 and ’11 and was named Region IV All-Tournament Second Team in 2010 and First Team in 2011.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Reeves intends to major in business, with an emphasis in marketing.

PERSONAL: Virginia Noelle Reeves was born on December 12, 1996. Her parents are Christopher and Melissa Reeves, a Ford master technician and Dell clerk, respectively. She has two older sisters, Stephanie and Taylor, the latter of whom is a student at Cal State Fullerton and an Anaheim Ducks Power Player. After graduation, Reeves hopes to pursue a career in professional soccer or entrepreneurship. She enjoys drawing, shopping and sleeping. An interesting fact about her is that she can recite the alphabet backward. She has always wanted to play in the Pac-12 Conference and chose Colorado because of the beautiful campus and amazing coaching staff’s style of soccer.
