Bio
FRESHMAN (2017): Goodwin helped CU reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament and break the school record for shutouts (14) and goals-against average (0.61). She made seven appearances as a reserve midfielder and recorded one assist in 75 minutes of play. CU outscored its opponents 2-0 during the season when she was on the pitch. Goodwin recorded her first career assist in a 6-1 win at Denver on Sept. 16, setting up a goal by Camilla Shymka in the 84th minute.
OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: She is a member of Colorado’s ODP program.
CLUB TEAM: Goodwin plays for FC Boulder and won the U.S. club national championship in July 2016. She was a team captain for two years.
HIGH SCHOOL: Goodwin was a four-year letterwinner in soccer at Broomfield High School for coach Jim Davidson. She led the team to runner-up finishes at the state tournament as a freshman and sophomore, and the semifinals as a junior and senior. She was an honorable mention Class 5A all-state selection as a senior. In her four seasons as a starter, she had 16 goals and 20 assists. An excellent student, she was named academic all-state. She also lettered in softball as a centerfielder and won club state softball championships with Colorado Stars '99 in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Goodwin plans to major in business and is also interested in communications. She believes business will offer her a well-rounded education.
PERSONAL: She was born Jordan Taylor Goodwin on April 21, 1999 to Scott and Kim Goodwin in Denver. She is an only child. Goodwin volunteers with Circle of Friends, a disabled-student program. She chose CU because it was her favorite school growing up.
