Freshman (2007): Burnett appeared in five games as a freshman, seeing 42 minutes of action. She was on the field for a season-high 17 minutes in a 2-0 win against Wyoming on Sept. 25.

High School: Burnett and the Battle Mountain Huskies won the Western Slope league her senior season, when she was named to the Second Team All-State team by the Rocky Mountain News and was a 4A First Team All-Western Slope pick. Burnett lettered in soccer her sophomore, junior and senior season and broke the school record for goals (28) in a season and assists (19) in a season her junior year. She was a second team all-state selection and first team all-league her junior season. Burnett is also an accomplished skier, as she lettered twice in high school. Growing up in the Vail area, she competed in the Slalom and Giant Slalom and placed fifth in the Colorado Skiimeister in 2006. Julia also competed in Nordic skiing and track in high school. Burnett played club soccer for the Vail Valley Soccer Club for coaches Jen Davin and Joel Rabinowitz.
 
In the Classroom: Burnett is an english and psycology major at CU.
 
Personal: The daughter of Greg and Lauren Burnett, Julia was born May 7, 1989 in Denver, Colo. She has a younger sister and brother, Kalen, her brother, is currently in high school and Ansley, her sister, is in elementary school. Her hobbies include skiing/snowboarding, water skiing, wake boarding, boating and camping.
