HEMPEN ON FITZPATRICK: Kassidy has been one of the best players in the program. From a soccer standpoint she has a technical stability and soccer know-how. She needs to take control of all those. Kassidy is one of our leaders.

JUNIOR (2010): Fitzpatrick played in 16 of CU's 20 contests logging 10 starts. She encountered a few injuries forcing her to sit out some games but still managed to score two goals for the Buffs. She also dished out three assists on the season putting her in a two-way third place tie on CU's scoring list with seven points. Fitzpatrick's highlight of the season was when she scored the golden goal just 57 seconds into overtime lifting the Buffaloes over Washington State on Sept. 12 during the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash.

SOPHOMORE (2009): Fitzpatrick started all 19 games, recorded four goals and one assist for nine points, finishing her sophomore campaign as CU's third-leading scorer. Her 35 shots during the season serve as proof that she was a key component to Colorado's offense in '09. She scored her first career goal against Illinois during the Denver Invitational Tournament. Fitzpatrick's most memorable goal during the 2009 season was when she netted the lone Colorado goal to give the Buffs a 1-0 win over Nebraska in conference play.

FRESHMAN (2008):  Fitzpatrick saw action in 18 games as a freshman.  After missing the first four games of the season due to injury, she made her career debut against James Madison, playing 30 minutes.  Fitzpatrick earned her first career start against South Dakota State in the Buffs' NCAA Tournament first round match-up, in which she played a career-high 67 minutes

HIGH SCHOOL: Fitzpatrick lettered four years in soccer for the Amador Valley High School Dons under head coach Bill Coupe.  A three-year team captain, Fitzpatrick was a three-time first-team All-League selection and earned an honorable mention as a freshman.  Fitzpatrick played club ball for Marin FC and led her team to a 2007 State Championship.  She also participated in the ODP program for three years and was a member of the state team for two years and the regional team one year.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Fitzpatrick is majoring in English at Colorado.

PERSONAL: Kassidy Fitzpatrick was born on April 23, 1990 and is the daughter of Timothy and Elaine Fitzpatrick of Pleasanton, Calif.  She has two sisters, Katrina and Kaitlyn.  Her father played collegiate soccer at USF and was a member of a semi-pro team.  Fitzpatrick chose Colorado because it's a beautiful place, and she likes what the academic program has to offer as a student athlete.
