SENIOR (2009): Johnson made her season debut against St. Mary’s when she replaced Linder in the goal and played for 11 minutes while recording one save.
JUNIOR (2008): Johnson made her collegiate debut as a junior against Fresno State, replacing former keeper Kirstin Radlinski in the second half. Johnson recorded one save and logged a career high 9:41 minutes played.
SOPHOMORE (2007): Continued to battle with fellow netminders Kara Linder and Kirstin Radlinski but saw no action in her sophomore campaign. Has seen time in both of her spring seasons and has not allowed a goal.
FRESHMAN (2006): Saw no action as a freshman as CU was very deep at the goalkeeper position with Kara Linder and Kirstin Radlinski splitting time in the back.
HIGH SCHOOL: Johnson was a two-time letterwinner for Marin Catholic Preparatory. As a senior, Johnson recorded 21 shutouts, 52 saves and only allowed four goals by her in 23 games. Johnson led her team to an NCS and MCAL Championship in 2006 and earned first team all-league honors as well as the Wildcats sportsmanship award. As a junior, Johnson helped her team to a 22-1-2 record and was a second team all-league selection and earned the coaches award as the Wildcats finished as finalists in the NCS Championship game. In that season, she recorded 22 shutouts and only allowed four goals. Johnson was a member of the Bay Oaks club team under former University of California at Berkeley head coach, Kevin Boyd.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Johnson was named to the Distinguished Scholastic Team as a junior and senior and also received a Certificate of Excellence in Art and a Medal of Excellence in Library Media as a senior. Johnson is majoring in studio arts with a focus on ceramics and is also interested in pursuing a degree in advertising.
PERSONAL: Kellis Ann Johnson was born on June 30, 1988 in Greenbrae, Calif. She is the daughter of Geoff and Laura Johnson and the younger sister of James (32). Her hobbies include ceramics, working on her Jeep, and listening to music. Johnson was a member of the Marin Catholic "200 Club" as she accomplished over 200 hours of community service.
