JUNIOR (2007): Saw action in 16 of the Buffs’ 22 games and posted 11 starts. She recorded a career-high five solo shutouts and picked up 53 saves in 1,313 minutes of play. Her five shutouts ranked her fifth overall in the Big 12. Radlinski now sits at No. 2 in the CU career charts in both wins (17) and shutouts (12).
SOPHOMORE (2006): Radlinski started her second year at Colorado backing up freshman Kara Linder in net, but by the middle of the Big 12 campaign she had won the starting job. She saw action in 20 games, starting 14, and posted three solo shutouts on the season, sharing another three with Linder. Radlinski owned a 1.09 goals against average and posted 68 saves in 1,483 minutes of play.
FRESHMAN (2005): Radlinski entered the season as backup to incumbent goalkeeper Jessie Keller, but was soon thrust into the fray when Keller broke her ankle against Kansas on Senior Day, Colorado’s final home game of the season. The freshman responded with four shutouts and a goals against average of 0.92, the best in the Big 12. She had a .816 save percentage, grabbing 40 saves in her 11 appearances. She also shared three shutouts with Keller in her 880:21 minutes of play.
HIGH SCHOOL: As a freshman Radlinski set nine El Dorado school records, including shutouts (15) in guiding the Golden Hawks to the Empire League title that year and Century League crown as a sophomore and junior. With Radlinski in goal, El Dorado had a 52-22-6 record, advancing to the second round of CIF play in 2002, the quarterfinals in ’03 and semifinals in ?04. She also holds prep marks for single season (177) and career (345) saves and had a 1.06 goals against average as a junior as well as El Dorado’s Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. She was a first-team all-league player for four years and all-CIF for three. Radlinski played her club ball for Irvine’s ISC Strikers premier team, the 2003 Pleasanton and 2004 Score-By-The-Shore tournament winners. She was the club’s only keeper for six years. A two-sport athlete, she played on El Dorado’s girls varsity tennis team as a member of the No. 1 doubles tandem since her sophomore year, and was named all-Century League as a sophomore, junior and senior and made the CIF tournament her sophomore and senior years.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Radlinski was a league scholar-athlete and a member of the honor roll in high school and has continued to excel at CU. An English major and philosophy minor, Radlinski maintained a 3.00-3.49 as a freshman in-season during the Fall of 2005 and has been recognized for her hard work since she arrived at CU, being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll every semester. Radlinski will serve as president for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) for 2008-09.
PERSONAL: Kirstin Lynda Radlinski was born Aug. 28, 1987 in Fullerton, Calif. She is the daughter of Marc and Birgit Radlinski and the younger sister of Peter (29) and Alexander (25). Her hobbies include playing tennis and volunteering.
