She hit the post in the loss to Baylor, she was not able to find the net all season. However, she continued to show flashes of brilliance that earned her 91 goals as a prep, and once she became more accustomed to the CU style of play, she created more chances for herself. She spent her summer honing her skills in the USL’s W League playing for the Kentucky Fillies in Lexington.

High School: Robertson, a four-year letterwinner at Lexington Catholic High School, was nothing short of a goal-scoring machine during her prep career, scoring 91 goals and notching 28 assists. As a senior, Robertson’s prep squad won their district before falling in the regional final. Her final year as a prep saw her score 25 goals and dish 10 assists en route to all-region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, as well as earning team MVP, City MVP, and first team all-state honors. Her junior year Catholic fell in the state final, claiming district and regional titles en route to the final match. Robertson scored 33 goals and eight assists, also earning all-region IV honors from the NSCAA, as well as first team all-state, MVP of the regional and district tournaments and LCHS. As a sophomore, LCHS took second in the region, first in the district, while Robertson scored 20 goals and had five assists. She earned honorable mention all-state honors, as well as second team all-region, all-tournament for the district, and all-city honors. Her first year, she notched 13 goals and five assists as LCHS lost in the state final while claiming the district and regional championships. She was named rookie of the year at LCHS, as well as district all-tournament. Robertson tied the state record for consecutive games with a goal at nine, notching 15 goals in nine games, with seven of those games in postseason play. On the club side, Robertson played for FC Kolping Ben-Gals out of Cincinnati. FC Kolping won two Bluegrass Invitationals, the Cardinal Cup, and in 1997 and 1998, the team finished as runners-up in state cup play. Robertson was the 1999 Kentucky Sportswoman of the Year, selected by the Women’s Sports Foundation. She was a finalist for Kentucky’s 1999 AP High School Female Athlete of the Year, and was the 1996 Sportsgirl of the Year from the Women’s Sports Foundation, and was included in Who’s Who in American High School Sports and Students. She lists her top games as the 1998 regional final game against Henry Clay High School, when she scored both goals in a 2-1 win, and scoring the winning goal in the 1998 state semifinal against an all-American goalkeeper. Robertson lettered for four years on the LCHS varsity basketball team, and lists the biggest moment of her high school career as starting for LCHS on the 1999 team which claimed the Kentucky state championship and was ranked No. 21 in the country by USA Today. She earned various honors in basketball, including all-district tournament team as well as honorable mention all-state as a junior and senior. She was named all-state by the Courier Journal in hoop as well. She also ran track as a sophomore.
