High School: A four-year letterwinner for coach Judy Breed, Engelbart earned first-team all-Area honors each of her four years as a prep at Elkhorn. Engelbart also earned first-team all-State accolades following her junior and senior campaigns, and was a second-team selection as a sophomore. She also competed for the Nebraska Olympic Development team as a freshman and sophomore. Engelbart played for Gladiator LPK on the club side, winning seven straight Nebraska state cup championships. She lists the most noteworthy achievement of her high school career as her team competing in the state tournament her final three years, after never having been there prior to her sophomore year.

Personal: Born April 17, 1979, in Omaha, Neb., Engelbart is the daughter of Joel and Connie Engelbart. She is currently studying theater at Colorado and is also minoring in Japanese. She was a standout academically in high school, as she was a four-year member of the Elkhorn honor roll and a member of the National Honor Society. She also lettered in track and cross country, earning academic all-state status as a junior in the latter. She lists her hobbies as "anything outdoors," playing with children, and singing.
