FRESHMAN (2009): Rakestraw played in only two games during her first year as a Buff. She made her collegiate debut when she played 17 minutes against St. Mary’s as a defender.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rakestraw was a four-year letterwinner for the H.B. Plant varsity soccer team. She was a three-time first team all-conference selection and was named the Panthers' Most Valuable Player as a freshman, sophomore and senior. Rakestraw notched over 15 goals and 15 assists as a prep player. Her club team, Real Salt Lake Florida Elite, went 7-2-2 in league play in 2008 and they were semifinalists in the '08 Disney Showcase.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Rakestraw will enroll as an open-option major but she is interested in studying political science, international studies, and business.

PERSONAL: Alexi Rakestraw was born on September 16, 1990 and is the daughter of Michael Rakestraw and Jeannette Jason. She has one sister, Linzy (16), who is a sophomore in high school. Her mother, Jeannette, played collegiate soccer at Florida State University. Rakestraw enjoys traveling, swimming and going to the beach.
