Freshman (1998): Kaliszewski made 10 appearances as a defender during her freshman season. She had one assist in a 1-0 win over Colorado College on Oct. 7.
High School: A four-year letterwinner for head coach Ron Kingery, Kaliszewski earned first-team all-Continental League honors her final three years as a prep while serving as team captain the same three years at Douglas County. Kaliszewski also earned first-team all-state accolades following her junior and senior campaigns, and was named 4A Player of the Year as a junior. Playing from the defender position, she managed to score eight goals and tally 10 assists as a junior, netting four goals and four assists as a senior. She played for Douglas County Blast during her formative years on the club level, and Littleton United during her high school years. Kaliszewski also qualified for the Olympic Development Program's Colorado state traveling team from 1995-97. She lists the biggest moment of her high school career as when she claimed MVP honors at the Air Academy tournament, at which Douglas County claimed the title her senior year.
Personal: Born Feb. 26, 1980, in Denver, Colo., Kaliszewski is interested in attending the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Colorado. She was also a prep standout in other ways at OCHS, serving as Student Body President her senior year while maintaining a 3.96 GPA, and is an Eisenhower-Evans Scholar, qualifying for that distinction by serving as a caddy at Castle Pines Golf Club, home to The International PGA golf tournament. She chose Colorado over Harvard, Cornell, New Hampshire and Vermont.
