Sophomore (2002): Taylor burst onto the scene in her first year in Boulder, finishing second on the team in points and goals after scoring three times with four assists for 10 points. She started 16 of 20 games at forward and attempted 28 shots. She recorded a point in each of her first four CU games, earning assists in the first two games vs. Fresno State (3-0 win) and Wyoming (1-0 win). She then scored a goal each at Minnesota on Sept. 8 and against New Hampshire on Sept. 13. Taylor earned an assist vs. Eastern Illinois and Iowa State, and scored the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute of a 3-2 win over Maine on Sept. 22.

Freshman (2001 at Iowa): A starting forward for the Hawkeyes, Taylor was Iowa's second leading scorer with five goals, a team-leading four assists, 14 points and 43 shots on goal to pace all newcomers during an 8-10-1 season.

High School: Taylor earned eight varsity letters in soccer and basketball at Arapahoe, which denied her from playing in Colorado's Olympic Development Program due to the conflict. She was the lone freshman on the Warriors' varsity squad in 1998, during the first of what would be two Colorado State 5A title runs. As a sophomore in '99, she was a first-team All-Continental pick after leading the league in scoring with 16 goals. She was named the team's Most Valuable Forward, Warriors and athlete of the week by the Littleton Independent. Arapahoe repeated its 5A state title Taylor's junior year and Taylor repeated her Continental League scoring title, her first-team all-league, Warriors Invite MVP and athlete of the week distinction by the Independent. In addition she was a Denver Post First-Team All-State pick, an honorable mention by the Rocky Mountain News and All-Colorado and first­ team All-State by Varsity On-Line. She was team captain her senior year and an all-state honorable mention selection by the Post and three-­peated her all-league honor. On the club scene, Taylor was a member of the Littleton United U-18 team from 1997-1999. She was a member of the Adidas NCAA IV Showcase team in 1998 and United won the Pike Peak Invitational that same year, the Busch Memorial Cup in 1999 and Colorado State Cup and was a State Cup Finalist as a member of the U-14 squad. She was a guest player at the 1999 Orange Classic and Surf Cup on the Storm's U-18 team that was also a State Cup finalist in 2000. She was a member of the U-20 Colorado Stars that were the U.S. Region IV Champions and National Semi-Finalists in 2000. The Stars U-23 team repeated those honors a year later and Taylor was the MVP of the CSYSA State Cup Soccer Tournament. Taylor had scholarship offers from Michigan, Kansas and Denver prior to attending Iowa.

In The Classroom: She graduated from Arapahoe with a 3.0 grade point average in 2001 and was a communications major at Iowa, a major she will carry into Boulder. 

Personal: Born March 22, 1983, she is the daughter of Rick and Gale Taylor of Highlands Ranch. She was Arapahoe's Junior Prom Queen and was a nominee as a senior. She has been a soccer instructor at the Cherry Creek High School Summer Camp and has done inside sales and Elite Lighting, Inc. Her community service work includes working at the Inter Faith Task Community Service Samaritan Shelter.
