Freshman (1997): Peretti had a goal and two assists in 13 appearances with one start as a true freshman. She had an assist on the overtime game-winning goal vs. Iowa State on Sept. 7 and another against Kansas on Sept. 28. Peretti scored her goal in a 2-0 victory against Missouri on Sept. 26 and earned a start at Wyoming on Oct. 5.
High School: A four-year letterwinner for head coach Jim Didimier and Coronado, Perretti was an all-state selection following both the 1996 and 1997 seasons. She was also an all-league selection her sophomore through senior years. She scored eight goals and added 11 assists as a senior, 15 goals and 12 assists as a junior, six goals and 11 assists her sophomore year and six goals and 15 assists as a freshman. That makes her final career numbers add up to an impressive 35 goals and 49 assists in her four years at Coronado. Coronado won the league title her freshman through junior seasons, and she was also recruited by the University of Denver, the Air Force Academy and the University of Vermont. She also played basketball (point guard) and softball (shortstop, centerfield) in addition to soccer at Coronado.
Personal: Born Jan. 1, 1979, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she plans on a psychology major at Colorado and should excel in the classroom, as she made the all-state academic honor roll as a sophomore, junior and senior and was also chosen as one of the recipients of Coronado's Interscholastic Scholar Award. She also earned the school's "Champions' Award," which recognizes excellence both athletically and academically.
