FRESHMAN (2006): Kelly made three appearances as a reserve defender as a freshman and saw 23 minutes of action. She had a season-high 13 minutes against No. 8 Texas A&M on Oct. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Kelly was a three year letterwinner for coach Chuck Morales at Rancho Santa Margarita. As a senior, the Eagles were 11-6-1, with Kelly earning second team All-Serra League honors. Her junior year they were 16-4-2, with Kelly taking home the Best Defensive Player Award for her team. As a sophomore, the Eagles won the 2003-04 Serra League Championship. Kelly currently plays club for West Coach Futbol Club, but spent the previous three seasons with the So Cal Blues. She is also a four-year letterwinner on the Eagle’s surf team, serving one year as team captain and one year as the team vice president.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Kelly is interested in majoring at business at Colorado. She is a lifetime member of the California Scholastic Federation, and made the honor roll all four years of high school.

PERSONAL: Shea Kathleen Kelly was born April 12, 1988 in Newport Beach, Calif. She is the daughter of Tim and Diane Kelly and has one older brother, Kyle (22). She is a product of the same high school as former CU player Tricia Regan. Her hobbies include beach volleyball, surfing, snowboarding, photography and travel. She volunteers with Assisteens, and works with the Philanthropic Community Service Club.
