SOPHOMORE (2013): Thurmond played in three games and 21 minutes as a reserve defender. She saw a season-high eight minutes against Tennessee-Martin on Sept. 8.
FRESHMAN (2012): Thurmond appeared in two games. She made her collegiate debut at Denver (1-4) and played in her first conference game at Arizona (3-0).
HIGH SCHOOL: Thurmond was a four-year letterwinner and two-time second-team All-Sea View League selection at Tesoro High School. She won the team's Most Assists awards as a senior, recording 15 along with her nine goals scored. She won the Coaches Award as a junior, scoring four goals and adding seven assists for the 9-1-3 Titans. Thurmond played club soccer for the West Coast FC program out of Mission Viejo, Calif. She scored eight goals and had 13 assists in 2011 Elite Clubs National League play. She was also a three-year letterwinner in track at Tesoro. As a freshman, she finished eighth in CIF and set a 400-meter record that was broken in 2012 by 0.8 seconds.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Thurmond majors in marketing in the Leeds School of Business at Colorado.
PERSONAL: Her full name is Taylor Lorraine Thurmond. Her nickname is Tay. She was born on January 14, 1994 to Dennis and Christy Precioso. She has four younger siblings: one brother, Dominic Precioso, and three sisters, Cameron and Lauren Precioso and Alyssa Sims. Her aunt Tasha Thurmond played softball for California Baptist University. She loves math and discussing business and new ideas. She was her graduating class' valedictorian. Her hobbies off the field include shopping and going on family vacations. She has volunteered for Soccer for Hope and breast cancer awareness. Colorado will be only the third school she has attended.
