Bio
Senior (2002): Booth moved to forward and started 17 of 20 games, finishing with two goals on 24 shot attempts. She scored in a 1-0 win over Wyoming on Sept. 6 in the eighth minute on a shot from 25 yards out. She also scored the first goal in a 2-0 win over Texas Tech on Oct. 20 in the 18th minute.
Junior (2001): Booth missed the first seven weeks and first six games of the season with a concussion that she suffered playing for her Provincial team in Alberta, Canada over the summer. She started practicing the week of September 24, but saw her starting streak end at 39 when she came off the bench vs. Texas later that week. In her first game back she would provide enough of a spark to start the next eight of nine games. She scored her first career goal, a game-winner in the 45th minute at Texas Tech securing the Buffs' first Big 12 Conference win of the season and helped to better the school record for single seasons wins away from Boulder.
Sophomore (2000): The sophomore defender started every match of the season, bringing her career streak to 39. Although she didn't record much statistically on the offensive end of the pitch, she was an invaluable member of the Colorado defense. No game illustrated that better than her performance against the Kansas, a 1-0 Buffalo win in Lawrence. Booth was a ball magnet in the penalty box, clearing two Jayhawk shots out of the goalmouth and out of danger. Her play was consistent with that standard all season, and she earned "full carded" status with the Canadian National Team pool earlier in the season.
Freshman (1999): Booth contributed a tremendous amount to the outside midfield position for the Buffs in 20 starts. She notched three assists on the season, including a game-winner she sent through to Heather Zonker against Denver. Her three assists were second on the team. Booth took 21 shots in 1999 and provided depth at midfield. She spent the summer playing with the Canadian U-20 team.
High School: Booth was a four-year member of the Alberta Provincial team that competes for the Canadian National Championship, playing in 1994 and 1996-98. Her squad won the Canadian Nationals from 1996-98, with Booth captaining the 1996 team. The Alberta team was the runner-up in 1994. In 1994 and 1996 she played for the Northern Alberta team at the Arctic Winter Games, captaining the 1996 squad which won the AWG title. She was selected to the Western Canadian All-Star team in 1998 and was invited to the 1998 U-20 Canadian National Team Camp. Booth also played for the Zone 7 Alberta Summer Games squad in 1995. She represented Zone 7 again at the Alberta Summer Games, this time as a triathlete, coming in second in the competition.
Personal: Born Feb. 24, 1981, she is the daughter of Joe and April Booth and is the youngest of three children with two older brothers (Ryan, 24 and Dustin, 22).
In The Classroom: Booth is a fine arts-studio major in the College of Arts & Sciences. She barely missed Dean's List honors in the spring of 2001 with a 3.394 semester grade point average.
