    Assistant Coach
Curtis Griffin joined the Colorado women’s volleyball staff in 2022-23. In his first two seasons, the Buffs own a 36-26 (.581) record with one trip to the NCAA Tournament. The 2024 campaign will be his third season with Colorado.

Griffin comes with experience as an AVP beach volleyball player, finishing 7th on the AVP tour at the US Championships as a rookie. He’s also had coaching experience as the head coach at Fairview High School where he worked from 1997-2003. He also coached Colorado’s men’s club volleyball team from 2001-03.

Born and raised in Boulder, Griffin said he pursued coaching because “I enjoy sharing skills and knowledge to help others excel.  I also have a lot of experience coaching volleyball, from beginners to the best in the world.  I’m excited about the opportunity to become a part of University of Colorado volleyball program and work to find the best in ourselves and our teammates.”

Griffin received a Masters in Fine Arts from Naropa University and now works as a substitute teacher when he’s not working with CU’s volleyball team
