As a Junior in 2009
Evanyo made her Colorado debut on the road against Missouri (10/7). She saw action in 46 sets over 14 matches for CU. Statistically, she enjoyed her greatest success in the Buffs' two matches against Kansas State. She recorded a season-high 18 digs against KSU in Boulder (10/21), before recording eight kills on 29 attacks against the Wildcats in Manhattan (11/21), both of which marked season-highs. On the year, Evanyo notched 11 kills, seven assists and 95 digs.
At Florida Atlantic
Evanyo played in 116 games over two seasons for the Owls. She recorded 114 kills, all in 89 games as a freshman, including double-digit kills in five matches. As a freshman she posted career-highs of 17 digs and four blocks against Montana State.
High School
Evanyo earned three letters at Chatfield Senior High School. As a senior she was named all-state and first team all-conference and was part of the first Chatfield team to make it to regionals. Evanyo was second team all-conference as a junior and guided the Chargers to a league championship. As a sophomore she named honorable mention all-conference.
Personal
Kaitlin Evanyo was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 15, 1989, to John and Sandra Evanyo. She has an older sister, Kristin, and a younger brother, Jack. Kristin played volleyball at the Colorado School of Mines. Her hobbies include dirt biking and puzzles and she is a fan of the Colorado Avalanche.
Academics
Evanyo is majoring in Biochemistry and is also interested in mathematics. She plans on attending medical school after college.
