Robin Maras is in her 27th year with the Herbst Academic Center serving as an Academic Mentor in 2019-20.
A Boulder native, Maras is a graduate of CU with a degree in communication and a secondary teaching certification. She also holds a master's in Education with emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
Maras has past experience in the classroom as well, teaching English, journalism and theater in the St. Vrain Valley School District.
Robin is married to Steve Maras (also a Boulder native) and when they are not attending Buffaloes athletic events, they enjoy traveling to Yellowstone National Park, where they have served as volunteers for the Yellowstone Wolf Project since 2004. Accompanying them on their travels are their two golden Retrievers, TC and Maddie and Robin's AQHA quarter horse, Tommy Joe. Â
