Abbey Shea is in her 11th year as a member of the University of Colorado Athletics Department; currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director of Name, Image & Nikeness ("NIL") after nine years in the Office of Compliance Services.

She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law and earned admission to the Colorado Bar Association in 2016. Prior to CU, Abbey worked for the Cincinnati Reds and Cape Cod Baseball League. She earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management from the University of Kansas in 2011.

A native of Colorado, Abbey graduated from Mountain Vista High School (Highlands Ranch) in 2008, where she lettered in softball. A third-generation Buff, her grandfather (Toadie Huggins, '45) and father (Dan Shea, '75) both played basketball for CU. Abbey serves on the Board of Directors of the KU Sport Management Program as well as the Denver Network of the KU Alumni Association. Her hobbies include attending sporting events and crafting.
