Nick Wood is a Senior Director of Development for the Buff Club, joining the team in June of 2022. In this role, Nick focuses on major gifts fundraising and working with donors throughout Colorado, Southern California, Texas, and the Southwest region.Â
Nick comes to Boulder after spending two years (2020-2022) at Rice University as the Assistant A.D. for Development. He served as the primary major gifts officer for Rice Athletics and was the development liaison for the men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and men’s golf programs.
Prior to his time at Rice, Nick has developed extensive ties to the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions. He served as the Assistant A.D. of Annual Giving at the University of Portland (2015-2020) and Big Blue Membership Coordinator at Utah State University (2014-2015). He earned his master’s degree in sport administration from the University of Northern Colorado and bachelor’s degree in physical education, K-12 from Boise State University.
Nick is a San Jose, California native that grew up in the Boise, Idaho area. Outside of work Nick is an avid outdoorsman, attends concerts and sporting events, competes in dog sports with his two border collies, Caroline and Waylon, and enjoys spending family time with his wife Kristina and two children, Easton and Rowan.
