COLORADO FALLS TO TEXAS IN OVERTIME

BOULDER, Colo. - The University of Colorado women's soccer team fell 1-0 in overtime to No. 20 Texas today at the Pleasant View Soccer Complex in North Boulder.

Colorado was able to hold back the Longhorn's aggressive offense, rendering them scoreless in the first two halves of regular game time. The 0-0 score at the end of the first two halves resulted in two 15-minute overtime halves.

Texas' Carol Finch scored the first and only goal of the game in the second half of overtime at 105:49, assisted by Katie Baruth.

"We were in the game from the beginning and we had enough chances to win," Colorado head coach Austin Daniels said. "We just have to score on our chances."

Overall, Daniels still feels comfortable with the position his team is in this point in the season. "We're doing okay for this season, but we haven't pulled out the close games. We need to pull out on these tight games."

Colorado will travel to compete against both Iowa State and Nebraska next weekend, October 11 and 13, respectively. The Iowa State game will be played in Ames, Iowa at 3 p.m. The Nebraska game will be played in Lincoln, Nebraska at 12 p.m.

The next home game for Colorado will be Friday, October 25 when the Buffaloes compete against Kansas at the Pleasant View Soccer Complex, 3 p.m. MST.
