Postgame Notes
November 28, 2002 | Women's Basketball
-The CU game against Villanova will be the ninth for Colorado against a team from the Big East. CU is 5-3 against the Big East, and 0-1 against the Wildcats. CU will also play Syracuse, another Big East team, later this season.
-Crystal Adams represented Coors tonight at the Coors Classic, which is kind of notable as she herself is a former Coors Classic MVP. She earned the 1988 Classic Most Outstanding Player, leading CU to it's first Coors Classic title.
-CU's record moves to 27-4 and 16-0 in the first round of the tournament. CU's four losses have all been in the championship game of the tournament, to Houston, Washington, Vanderbilt and Louisiana Tech.
-Hartford's 40 points are the fewest scored in Coors Classic history (previously 44, Bowling Green, 2001). The 51 points by Ohio State in the first game are the seventh-fewest in tournament history.
-Individual superlatives included: Sabrina Scott grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds; Tera Bjorklund dished off a career high 5 assists; Amber Metoyer had a career-high 11 points (her first double-digit scoring game of her career) and 7 rebounds.
