Buffs Place Seven On Academic Big 12 Team

Dallas - Making her fourth appearance on the first-team, Colorado senior soccer player Meghan Swanzy tops Colorado's list of seven student-athletes that have been named to the Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team the league office announced Tuesday.

Six Buffs are on the first team with grade point averages of 3.20 or better, while one is listed on the second team with a gpa ranging from 3.0-3.19.

Swanzy and the Buffs are preparing to play in this weekend's Big 12 Tournament in San Antonio. The No. 5 seed, Colorado opens first-round action on Thursday against Missouri in a 12:30 p.m. (MDT) kickoff.
