Buff Women Take Care Of OSU

STILLWATER, Okla. - Sabrina Scott scored 13 points and had 12 rebounds and Tera Bjorklund had 14 points to lead four Buffalo players in double figures as Colorado defeated Oklahoma State 64-50 for their third straight Big 12 conference win.
Kate Fagan scored 10 points and Veronica Johns-Richardson came off the bench to contribute 12 points in 17 minutes.
The two teams traded baskets for a majority of the first half, but two free throws by Bjorklund with 8:02 left in the half put Colorado (14-2, 4-1 Big 12) up 18-17 before consecutive three pointers by Johns-Richardson and Scott helped boost the Buffaloes lead to seven points.
After Colorado led 31-23 at halftime, Oklahoma State (5-11, 1-4 Big 12) cut the deficit to just four, 33-29, with 16:34 left when Meghan Craig scored three of her game high 16 points. Colorado then went on a 9-0 run over the next four minutes to put the Buffs up by 13. Colorado led by as much as 22 with just over two minutes to go, but the Cowgirls scored six unanswered points to end the game.
Thia Willis was the only other Oklahoma State player in double figures.
Colorado shot 41 percent from the field compared to Oklahoma State's 36 percent. The Buffaloes were, however, 11-12 from the free throw line and outrebounded the Cowgirls 39-32.
Colorado will return after two straight road games to face Texas Tech, who lost to Texas earlier tonight. Gametime is set for 2 p.m. and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports Net. Prior to the Colorado/Texas Tech game with be the Colorado Alumni game which is scheduled to tip off at noon.
