October 27, 2003 | Football

Quickly: The Colorado Buffaloes (3-5, 1-3 Big 12) hit the road once again to begin the second half of conference play, traveling to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders (5-3, 2-2 Big 12) in a 5:10 p.m. mountain kickoff at Jones SBC Stadium" Fox Sports Net will televise the game nationally, with Bill Land (play-by-play), Dave Lapham (color analyst) and Jim Knox (sidelines) on hand to call the action" Colorado is coming off a tough 34-20 loss in Boulder to No. 1 Oklahoma, a game CU had climbed back into, trailing 27-20 with 5:03 remaining; the Sooners converted a 3rd-&-6 for a touchdown at the two minute mark to salt away the win" It was only Colorado's fourth-ever loss at night in Boulder, as CU dropped to 14-4-2 (the four losses by a combined 27 points to OU twice, Iowa State and Fresno State)" The Buffs defeated Texas Tech, 37-13, last year in Boulder; the pair have struggled a bit on defense this year, as combined, they are allowing 76.2 points and 960.8 yard per game (obviously setting the table for a 13-10 defensive thriller)" CU's official website, www.CUBuffs.com, features game day updates and live stats for all games, home and road" Colorado has about 2,500 tickets remaining for the Nov. 8 game against Missouri, which will kickoff at 12:30 p.m. MST (no television at present), with the Nebraska (Nov. 28) game already sold out.
