COLORADO CLOSES EXHIBITION SEASON WITH WIN

“I think this was a pretty good final test,” head coach Ricardo Patton said. “I saw some good and some bad. We had some pretty good energy from our guys. I really like Lamar Harris' energy for us. We still need to do some things. We need to get out on the wings and run the floor better, but for the most part, I liked what I saw.”
The Buffs opened the game with a 7-0 run and never let the All-Stars get closer than three points over the next 39 minutes.

The Buffs came out scoring in the second half, and extended their lead to as many as 22, but the All-Stars wouldn't give up, narrowing the lead to as few as nine.
Michel Morandais chipped in 15 points for the Buffs and Blair Wilson and Marcus Hall each added 10 points. For the All-Stars, former UCLA star Ed O'Bannon had a game-high 19 points.
Colorado will now turn its attention to the regular-season opener against Northwestern on Friday at 7 p.m. in Evanston, Ill. Colorado's next home action will come at 7 p.m. Monday Dec. 1 when they take on Oregon State.
“Northwestern is a very good basketball team,” Patton said. “They're going to be a tough task because we're talking Big 10. It is their first home game and the players will be juiced. We are supposed to be a good team this year and Coach (Bill) Carmody won't have a problem pumping up the players.”
